Miele's legacy as a world leader in vacuum cleaner design and engineering continues to be proven through its most recent product series, the S514 Solaris deluxe mid-size canisters. Most impressively, the S500 and S600 series representthe world's first ever certified vacuum cleaners. Using a certified HEPA filter is important, because it is rated to retain 99.9% of all lung-damaging particles 0.3 microns and larger. However, that is only half of the picture.

This "full picture" would include a HEPA filter installed in a sealed environment,one that does not leak air prior to being filtered.

Miele S300 - S600 series canister vacuums deliver on both counts. People especially concerned with indoor-air quality will be pleased to know that the S500 / S600 series was tested against one of the world's most stringent filtration standards (EN 1822).

As expected, virtually all particulate matter was contained within these vacuums, earning the S500 / S600 series the world's first certificate of HEPA certification:

The S514 Solaris comes equipped with Miele's Combination Rug & Floor Tool. This unit is designed for cleaning homes which have predominately smooth floors and a variety of very low-cut area rugs and loop carpeting. Simply by depressing a lever, this versatile floor tool will release a band of bristles, suitable to clean all smooth surfaces. Depressing the lever again will retract the bristles, allowing the unit to glide easily over the short and looped pile carpets.

Packaged with Miele's Turbobrush, the S514 Solaris Turbo Plus vacuum cleaner is one of the most practical machines available for cleaning smooth-floor surfaces as well as for a variety of low- and medium-pile carpeting. The Turbobrush has a rotating roller brush, which is activated by the air being drawn through the machine. This gentle agitation is ideal for cleaning very delicate rugs such as orientals, persians and silk fiber rugs. It also provides excellent cleaning results on low-pile or looped carpeting. The secondary floor tool that comes with this unit is the Parquet Floor Tool. Ideal for cleaning any hard floor surface, this tool will impress you with its dual rows of long, soft natural bristles.

When cleaning wall-to-wall carpeting of medium- or high-pile, it is necessary to use a vacuum cleaner with a motorized powerbrush. The S514 Solaris Electro Plus is packaged with an electric hose and Miele's mid-size powerbrush (SEB 213-2 Powerbrush) which provides the consistent agitation required to separate carpet fibers and allow dirt and debris to be effectively removed. The electric hose directly connects to the canister, with no exterior wires showing and has a convenient 360° swivel. The Parquet Floor Tool, with its thick, natural bristles is also included with this unit to clean and protect smooth-floor surfaces, such as hardwood, marble or tile. When cleaning wall-to-wall carpeting of medium- or high-pile, it is necessary to use a vacuum cleaner with a motorized powerbrush. The S514 Solaris Electro Plus is equipped with Miele's revolutionary "direct connect system." The electric hose directly connects to the canister and wand, with no exterior wires showing and has a convenient 360° swivel. With an electric hose, telescopic wand and Miele's mid-size powerbrush SEB 217-2 Powerbrush) this vacuum cleaner provides the consistent agitation needed to separate carpet fibers and to effectively remove dirt and debris. Also, included with this unit is the Parquet Floor Tool, with thick, natural bristles designed to clean and protect smooth-floor surfaces, such as hardwood, marble or tile.
